In addition to an array of print materials with an
emphasis upon New York State law, access to
online legal databases are available in court law
libraries using designated public access computer
terminals. Our public access terminals allow users
to search Various State & Federal Case law,
statutory, regulatory databases, Mathew Bender, Mealey's
treatises, Legal encyclopedias, newspapers, journals, law
reviews, legal directories, Shepard Citations, and more
using lexis.com and loislaw.]
Additionally, each Judicial District Librarian may access the services
of Hein.online in
order to provide users with an array of law journal
articles which may otherwise be unavailable in
facilities using print resources.*

*The copyright law of the United States (Title 17,
United States Code) governed the making of photocopies
or other reproduction of copyrighted material.
Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries
and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or
other reproduction. One of these provided conditions is
that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used
for any purpose other than private study, scholarship,
or research." If a user makes a request for, or later
uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess
of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright
