This first-of-its-kind colloquium brought together judges, lawyers and clinical law professors to develop a model for courts, clinical programs and the practicing bar to collaborate on justice issues. Using the collateral consequences of criminal convictions as a springboard for discussion and analysis, this full-day forum looked beyond subject matter categories to identify connections among problems that have traditionally been handled by different courts. The discussion focused on a wide range of collateral problems that can flow from a criminal conviction, as well as related questions involving access to justice and pro bono legal resources for disadvantaged communities.
