Presiding Justice Karen K. Peters
On April 5, 2012, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo appointed the Honorable Karen K. Peters to serve as Presiding Justice of the Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department.  The appointment makes Justice Peters, who has been a member of the Third Department since 1994, the Court's 15th Presiding Justice and the first woman to serve in that position.
